Foot Pain & Support for Everyday Movement

Foot discomfort can affect walking, work, recreation and daily routines. Foot pain can have different causes, so the right approach begins with understanding your symptoms and whether further assessment or an orthotics discussion may be appropriate.

Heel, arch and foot discomfort

Heel pain (sometimes called plantar fasciitis), arch discomfort, and aching feet can all affect daily activity. Because the causes vary, an assessment helps clarify what may be relevant and what options might be worth considering.

How an assessment works

An assessment may include discussing your symptoms, when they occur, your footwear and activities, and an appropriate examination of the foot and how it moves.

How custom orthotics may be considered

Custom orthotics are one option among several, and whether they're appropriate depends on the assessment and your individual circumstances. They are not a guaranteed solution for every person or every type of foot discomfort.

A note on this information. This page is general and educational, not individualized medical advice. Orthotics do not cure plantar fasciitis or suit everyone. An assessment is the right way to consider whether orthotics or other care may be appropriate for you.
